I have always loved and admired jewelry
for as long as I can remember.
I love wearing it, looking at it on others,
and buying it.
So why not make it too?!
After years of dabbling in other crafts,
I took a class in beaded jewelry
and that was the beginning of my journey.
I don’t know why it took me so long
to finally focus,
but I can’t imagine doing anything else.
I have been a jewelry and fiber artist
for over 25 years.
My husband, Mark and I moved
to Sandpoint Idaho over 31 years ago
and live along the beautiful and tranquil
Pack River in the Selkirk Mountains.
I spend a lot of my free time at the river,
which is a constant source of inspiration
and creativity for my art.
For the past several years,
I have focused my jewelry
around mixed metals
and cold join techniques.
The use of found objects, recycled materials, coins, wire, common hardware, and more, has given me a new found freedom
in expressing my art and creativity.
Each piece is uniquely different.
With each passing year,
I find myself reaching outside the box
and wanting to evoke a reaction
(hopefully positive!) to my work.
I love looking at an object
and wondering how I can transform it
into a beautiful piece of jewelry!
